In the final they faced GRFC Blue and finished with a score of 2-0 against a very tough opponent. After their championship win the GU14 Gold Team – Zahajko team created a player tunnel for the U11 players to run through, showing that FCA is truly a family with pride." ~ Coach Robin

The boys racked up some awesome statistics during the tournament.

  “The whole team played great," pointed out Coach Hugo. "Offensively we were creative and scored some awesome goals -- 14 in total. Defensively and in the goal we were shutting teams down and only allowed 1 goal. Congrats to the boys and parents too for getting them to the fields.” 

And the playing conditions during the snowy weekend? :  "a picture is worth a thousand snowflakes."

"The main reason why the team performed so well this past fall season was because of the hard work and commitment from the parents. I explained to them from the very first meeting back in April that it was essential that we trained at least three times a week. That If they wanted the team to be competitive and the kids to blossom into excellent little soccer players then we had to add that extra day. The parents bought into it and we started training three times a week as early as June.

Also, a lot of the success we had on the field was due in part to the players’ fitness level. Mondays are called “Fitness Mondays” and I focused on developing their coordination and strength through plyometrics. The team has come a long ways solely on effort, commitment and the belief that you have to be prepared.

It goes without saying that I would have not been able to achieve this good start to the season without the full support of the FC Alliance club. Especially to FC Alliance Youth Director for Boys, Coach Hugo Alcaraz-Cuellar, for he has supported me 100% and has given me the tools and equipment to allow this to transpire.

 As a side note, the players have exceeded all my expectations. Not only have they accepted my sometimes rigid methods, but they have also developed into outstanding young leaders. They have a bright future, and so does the beautiful game. "

Alexis wants to thank her FC Alliance coaches over the years: Jorge Barrera, Ed Lim, and Katie Hultin; and goal keeper coaches Doug Kenyon and Justin Mak.   Alexis has also played at the Olympic Development Player level. Her Bothell High School coach, Shaun Warner, has been a great coach, where Alexis has served as captain for two years, earning King County 4A Honorable Mentions, 2nd team, King County 4A 1st team, in her three years at Bothell High School.   Alexis’s proud parents – FC Alliance Treasurer Carsten and Joyce Thode – point out that she has been active for many years with Science Olympiad, Honor Society and Executive Council – all while maintaining a 3.856 grade point average! CONGRATULATIONS, Alexis and Family !

Coach Hugo was very grateful:  "thanks to all the kids, parents, and young FC Alliance coaches, for coming out and making the camp a great success. The kids had a great time and I am looking forward to next year." 

President Elect Tom Campbell added his thanks:  "This spirit of giving to help other soccer players in our club stay in FCA is a tremendous example of who we are as a club. Thanks to Hugo and each of you who made this great for the kids and great for the club. Have a wonder filled holiday."

FC Alliance Premier Soccer is a club operating withing the Northshore Youth Soccer Association (NYSA). NYSA is a non-profit Washington State organization. Donations are primarily used to fund the scholarship program. The scholarship program allows talented players who need financial help to participate in premier soccer. • The COACH is responsible for the behavior and conduct of the players, parents, siblings, and spectators.
• Adult supervision of field activities is mandatory. Players may not take the field without a coach present.
• Only FCA participants are allowed on the field during our scheduled use time.
• You may not enter the site prior to your scheduled time. You must leave on or before your scheduled ending time. Any pre- or post-game meetings should take place off field and outside gates.
• If you arrive to find the gates locked, Absolutely, Positively, DO NOT JUMP OR CLIMB THE FENCE.
• Litter should be collected and removed by each scheduled team at conclusion of field use. PICK UP the GARBAGE, whether it belongs to you or someone else. If maintenance personnel must pick up behind us, our USE WILL BE SUSPENDED.
• NO Use of Alcohol, Drugs, or Tobacco. No profane language, boisterous behavior, or other objectionable demeanor.
• NYSA and FCA are financially responsible for damage or vandalism during our sponsored activities.
• No PETS. No ANIMALS.
• Picnicking and Parking in marked areas only.
• No Fireworks, No Firearms, No Weapons
• Non soccer related equipment is not to be used by NYSA. E.G. football-blocking sleds, long-jump pit, the track surface, the pole-vault pads, hurdles, etc.
• Permission for use of loudspeakers or concession/merchandise stands must be obtained in advance.
• Spectators must be on the outside of the track and where there is one in the stands. No spectator is allowed to stand on any portion of the track or on the sidelines next to the field. No tents or heaters on TURF or TRACK.
• No gum, seeds, food or BEVERAGES on the TURF or TRACK surfaces. Water is permissible.
• ALL HIGH SCHOOL GRASS FIELDS - CLEAN YOUR CLEATS! Player cleats, clothing and equipment must be swept free of grass before leaving the surface.
• NEVER attempt to clear snow from any school district field under ANY circumstances!
