Beginning in 2010, the FC Alliance Premier Soccer Club, in cooperation with NYSA & NSC, has formed a new Select program.
The new U11 & U12 Select Program accommodates those players that are not yet ready to make a full-time commitment to the premier soccer program currently offered by FC Alliance, but are ready for a more competitive challenge than offered in the Recreational program. This intermediate step will give the player the best preparation to move into the competitive U13 programs in select, premier programs and beyond. The focus of the program is to provide the best available training using qualified coaches and trainers to help players teach their potential as soccer players.
The Select teams will be coached by volunteer coaches. The volunteer coaches will be managed by the FC Alliance coaching staff in accordance with the FC Alliance Coaching operating procedures. This entire age group will train together using the FC Alliance Advanced Development Academy curriculum and supervised by the FC Alliance Youth Directors Hugo Alcaraz and Dayo Oyetuga.
Select teams will compete in the local North Puget Sound League (NPSL). NPSL teams play a 12 match schedule from September to mid-December - 6 home, 6 away. Travel is generally within a 1 hour radius of Woodinville - within King and Snonomish Counties. One or two matches per season may require further travel - within a 2 hour radius of Woodinville.
Competition
• The teams are encouraged to participate in 1-2 local tournaments.
• Each team will practice 2 days per week.
• Teams play in the NPSL fall league.
Cost
The cost of the Select program is kept low by utilizing volunteer coaches, a shorter season, less tournaments, and fewer camps, clinics, training and services compared to our Premier Teams. In the Select program we do not offer sibling discounts or volunteer refunds, and participation in additional training clinics is offered for a nominal fee.
