G94 Gold suffers first lost 1-2
February 5, 2011, Bothell, Wa. - G94 Reiter suffered its first defeat of the season as Crossfire Crum doubled its 1-0 halftime lead by 55'. FCA G94 furious effort to erase the 2-goal deficit was commendable, but wasn't enough as time ran out.

In the early get go, both teams appeared to be evenly matched, but eventually the pendullum would swing Crossfire's way. Aside from the early FCA attacks down the right side and a handful of reactive advances after falling behind 0-1 at 42', Crossfire held ball possession advantage and kept the ball down at FCA's end for most of the first half. A no-call on Crossfire hand ball may have contributed to the first goal allowed by FCA this season as Alliance defenders were momentarily paused after the no-call and just enough to give Crossfire half a step advantage on that sequence of attack.

Within 10' of second half, Crossfire increased its lead to 2-0 despite FCA seemingly increased pressure on the ball. Within a few minutes, Erika narrowed the deficit by a goal with a sizzling shot from just inside the 18-yard box at 57' mark. 10' later, Micaela appeared to have tied it up at 2-2 with her point-blank shot inside GK box at 67', but the cat-like reflex of Crossfire GK allowed her to reach up and snatch away FCA tying goal. Pursuing FCA shot-on-goals did not yield any further tangible result for the rest of the game.

January 29, 2012, Everett, Wa. - In its second game in as many days, the Reiter Girls earned a second victory of its young RCL season, thanks to Savannah’s wind-infused, curving free kick in the second half.
With seemingly ever improving passing and increasing ball possession, FCA G94 dominated on the pitch despite playing against a higher quality team than a day before. In the first half, Alliance had several attacks with a handful occasions where the ball advances inside penalty area.

Both Dassni and Ally had a handful of dangerous offensive dashes with shot-on-goal attempts well inside PA while Micaela. Along with Micaela and Kirstyn continuous pressure up front, it was a surprise that FCA did not have at least a goal advantage by half time.
In the second half, Savannah exhibited her shooting range in the form of a game winner with a free kick approximately 30 yards away. Standing tall in goal for FCA once again was Tammy, whom had recorded a second clean sheet of the 2012 campaign.

January 28, 2012, Everett, Wa., - After a long hiatus and addition of a few new players, Reiter G94 starts its 2012 RCL campaign with a successful outing against Washington Rush Classic with a 3-0 victory at cold and windy Cavelero MS.
One of the four newcomers, Sam (#6) puts the team ahead early at 8’ mark with a shot from just outside 18-meter box and over the Rush GK vertical reach. FCA dominance in ball possesion continues through the first half and eventually results in 2-0 lead at 38’ when Rikki (#13) brings the ball through the left side of PA and slips one between Rush GK and the far post.

Strong plays in the backfield, anchored by the like of Savannah (#37) and BreMac in midfield helps keep the ball in the opponent’s end. Many scoring opportunities were created as FCA strings together many passes and crosses from the outside. A final goal is tallied by Kristyn as she sends the ball pass two Rush defenders and into the net at 68’ mark.
Tammy was in goal for FCA and earns a clean sheet and the team earns 3 points in its first outing.

Coach M'ily's Seattle U stuns No. 8 Portland 2-0

September 3, 2011, Seattle, Wa. - In a David versus Goliath battle, it was the Seattle University women’s soccer team that stunned the No. 8 Portland Pilots Friday evening to open the Husky NIKE Invitational. A pair of first half goals guided the Redhawks to the biggest victory in program history, 2-0, over the perennial powerhouse Pilots. The win also marked the highest ranked opponent a Seattle U team has defeated since reclassifying back to NCAA Division I status.
Both FCA coach M’ily and Katie were in the house for the showdown in which Seattle U junior forward Emma Levy (Eastlake HS, Crossfire ODP) put the Redhawks on the scoreboard with an 18-yard hotshot off a sophomore Shawna Anderson (Pasco HS, 3-Rivers FC) throw-in 15’ into first half. Levy’s first half goal would prove to be the eventual game winner.
With a 1-0 lead, Portland began to push their offensive even deeper into the Redhawk half. For every attack, Seattle U was there to counter and work to add to their lead. At 24:41, freshman Megan Daniels (Lake Forest, Calif.) crossed the ball near the UP goal to classmateStephanie Verdoia (Salt Lake City, Utah).
Following Verdoia’s goal, Portland, featuring a local product in freshman forward Rebekah Kurle (Kennedy HS, F-92 Emerald City FC) would work to get on the board. Despite the Pilots attempts to get the ball into Redhawk territory, SU remained poised and deflected their attempts.

FCA G94 Gold runs out of gas in BigFoot final

August 21, 2011, Rikki fights in the air, Tammy saves one and Ally brings it up field.
August 21, 2011, Snohomish, Wa. - In the second game of the 81°F day, FC Alliance G94 knew it would be an uphill battle as it watched its opponent subbed 5 players every 5’ while its own bench suffered injuries and tired feet. FCA’s sister club NSC scored 2 goals in less than 10’ as FCA was uncharacteristically a step behind NSC attacks. A third Northshore goal was tallied before half time despite Tammy’s valiant effort in goal.
Jana came in to man FCA goal in second half, but nevertheless NSC added one more at 45’. Couple of FCA players retired from the pitch by then and Alliance was all but deflated as the exhaustion from 4 days and 5 games in +80°F heat caught up to them.
Despite the 0-4 defeat, the first year FCA G94 Gold is more than satisfied with its gradual improvement from its inaugural debut 2 weeks ago at Seattle Cup. The team’s finish as BigFoot finalist is a testament to the players’ dedication and hard work the girls had put in thus far.

G94 Gold beats BIFC 1-0, reaches final

August 21, 2011, Christina fights in the air with blood and sweat against Bainbridge Island FC in Snohomish BigFoot semifinal.
August 21, 2011, Snohomish, Wa. - After winning its group B with 13 points, FCA G94 Gold withstood group A winner, Bainbridge Island FC early numerous attacks as FCA bend-but-don’t-break defense helped out Lene superb work in goal. A golden opportunity arose for Alliance FC when Erika was taken down in front of BIFC goal during a corner kick at 20’ mark. Taking the PK for FCA, Kirstyn converted on the kick-on-the-spot for FCA go-ahead goal.
The mild, overcast morning turned sizzling hot in latter part of second half and seemingly melted away FCA’s effort in keeping BIFC off the scoreboard. In goal for the second half, Tammy witnessed several nerve wracking moments as BIFC continually earned free kicks and moving up field. Apparently heat exhaustion impacted both sides an FC Alliance held on for a 1-0 victory and advanced to final.

August 21, 2011, Taylor A turns away a BIFC player, Lene with one of her many saves and Ally manuevers in second half.
FCA G94 Gold dominates to 2-0 win, advances to semi

August 20, 2011, Kirstyn battles a Fury player in the air.
August 20, 2011, Snohomish, Wa. - Alliance G94 started swinging right after the first round bell rang with waves of attack that eventually resulted in Micaela’s first half goal, FCA’s first for the tourney. FCA was in a fine form as far as passing and posssesion game were concern, especially on the left half of the field.
Micaela would tally her second goal as she chipped one on a breakaway over Fury GK at 40’ mark. A seemingly sure hat trick was denied when Micaela’s shot from the left to the far post was denied by FPSC GK’s diving save.
Nevertheless the 2 goal advantage was enough to propel Reiter’s girls to the top of the group B table with 13 points, edging out the second place team by 1 and advancing to the semi against Bainbridge Island FC. Lene was in goal for FCA the entire duration and earned a clean sheet.

August 19, 2011, Christina shoots on goal, Alexandra airs and Rikki chases one down.
August 19, 2011, Snohomish, Wa. - Despite beingn dominant on the field, FCA G94 Reiter gave up a goal off corner kick early in second half that proved to be fatal in its bid to win the first game of BigFoot tourney.
In Mark Knoll’s second outing for Reiter’s girls, Tammy and the defensive line kept MVP scoreless in the first half while midfield play kept FCA in control.
The game first goal came early in second half when Marauders converted on their corner kick in the midst of FCA defensive misassignment. Several Alliance advances proved furtile as the 1-0 score stood and jeopodized its chance in advancing from group play. FCA stood at 4 points in second day of BigFoot.

August 18, 2011 - Bri-Sak deflects the ball away, Rebecca battles in mid and Dassni traps near sideline.
August 18, 2011, Snohomish, Wa. - In the first game of Big Foot tournament, the Mark Knoll led FCA G94-Reiter duked it out against Washington Rush G94 to a 0-0 tie with both teams earning 4 points thus far.
Seeing action for the first time this season, Jana made it looks easy in the first half in front of FCA goal, Rikki and Dassni shared left outside mid duty and Monica saw quality time at right forward.
Alliance put lots of pressure in the first half and in combination of Rush playing back to defensive line, the ball was mostly in the visitor’s half. FCA almost broke through with a goal at 10’ mark when Micaela maneuvered through couple defenders in front of GK box, saw some daylight, but misfired.
The table would turn in the second half as Rush returned the favor and put Alliance on its back heels often. However, along with Alliance defensive effort dodging many bullets and Kelsey making couple great saves in the last 30’, FCA was able to walk away with a clean sheet and still in good shape to advance out of bracket.
