FC Alliance All Club Meeting

Many thanks to all of the families who were able to fill the Leota gym for the the All Club Meeting on June 20th, it was quite the special event.  All were all treated to speeches by Dave Schumacher, the event’s main organizer; Jordan Webb, FCA’s new Fitness Director; Sounders FC’s David Estrada speaking on his soccer journey; Coach Hugo Alcaraz-Cuellar; and Gary White, WYSA’s Technical Director, speaking on The Future of the Game.

Sounders Women Fundraiser

A portion of all tickets purchased for Sounders Women games online with the "ALLIANCE" fundraiser code will go to FC Alliance. Many of our girl’s coaches have played with the Sounders Women including #14 M’ily Reiter, a member of this year’s team. There’s one more home game this season, so visit Brown Paper Tickets to get yours.  Don’t forget to use the "ALLIANCE" fundraiser code and note that the code will not work for the W League Final 4 Championship.

Steven Nester:  Boys Player of the Year

The Boys Player of the Year award goes to Steven Nester. He has played with Northshore Youth Soccer Association since his U7 year, joined FC Alliance at age 12, and is currently a member of the BU17 Gold team. You can also watch Steven play soccer for his Bothell High School varsity team, where he takes several AP and Honors courses and works hard to maintain a high GPA.  Coach Hugo puts it best: “Steven deserves this recognition for all the hard work and dedication he has put into playing the game of soccer. He has developed into one of the best players in the club. I think he is a great example for our younger players in the club on how to prepare, train, and play the game. He is very focused, gives 100% at all times, and is to me a "young professional". It has been a pleasure to coach him the past two years.”

The Uniforms are Coming, The Uniforms are Coming!

It’s been quite a year in regards to uniforms but it’ll be worth the wait.  Through design alterations and vendor changes, a ton of work has been put in to this process.  The good news is that everything is finalized and end production is set to begin in short order.  Thanks all for your patience.

Soccer for Everyone

Please consider donating your gently used gear to the Soccer for Everyone program.  All types of gear are needed: cleats, shin guards, balls, socks and other clothing, especially in smaller sizes.  You can drop off your donations at the NYSA office on July 11th at 7 PM.
